10 Oct Opening of Fox 4 at Falmouth University

Fox 4 at Falmouth University is the new School of Communication Design and was officially opened yesterday at an event at held on campus.

This project, is the first new building to be constructed at the Falmouth campus for over twenty years and will have the capacity to accommodate 300 students. The scheme includes, a second lecture theatre for the campus, offices, studios, exhibition and ancillary space.

The project also has high sustainable credentials and is expected to achieve the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standard, minimising the impact on the surrounding environment.

The project presented some challenges, with regard to minimising the disruption to student’s curricula activities and immediately adjacent neighbours, within a matured landscaped setting.

Martin Ayliffe, Director, commented: “Against a host of challenges, the whole team pulled together to deliver a project with first class honours. WWA are proud to have been part of the project, continuing our involvement with the development of Falmouth University”.
