Green Tree Court Shortlisted for RICS South West Award

Lexicon Healthcare’s flagship care home, Green Tree Court in Exeter has been shortlisted in the residential category for the RICS South West Awards.

The awards showcase the most inspirational, regional initiatives and developments in land, construction and property. The regional winners will be announced at a ceremony in Bristol on the 19th March.

The £7.5m Green Tree Court Facility opened in November and features 68 spacious en-suite rooms with high quality facilities and opulent interior design. The building also includes a specialist dementia care wing, which is working to attain the internationally recognised Stirling Gold Standard for dementia friendly design. It is believed that this endorsement would make the facility the first of its kind in the West Country.

The principles behind the design are to create a space where person centred support can be delivered, taking into account individual capabilities and needs, ensuring dignity and respect and encouraging freedom of choice and independence.

Lexicon CEO Stephen Pattrick said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for the RICS South West Award. Our vision for Green Tree court was always to create something unique, market leading and very, very special.

“Working with our partners we were meticulous in the design and planning of this home and that attention to detail is now paying off; we have a stunning home for our residents to enjoy which sets an exceptional blueprint for a new standard of care home in the UK.”

Ward Williams Associates have provided multi-disciplinary consultancy services, including; quantity surveying, project management, employer’s agent and CDM coordination to the project.

Ian Smith, Employer’s Agent, said, “I’m delighted for the Lexicon team that their uncompromised vision and attention to detail shown in the procurement of Green Tree Court is being recognised in the shortlisting for the RICS South West Awards.
