Topping Out Ceremony for Leeward House at Mount Wise

Topping Out Ceremony for Leeward House at Mount Wise

The latest phase of the Mount Wise development, Leeward House, was recently marked by a topping out ceremony.

Leeward House at Mount Wise is a significant waterfront development. It incorporates 59 apartments over six floors and has seen the transformation of a former Military Headquarters into high quality housing. The units also have stunning panoramic views across the River Tamar, City Centre and Dartmoor.

The ceremony, hosted by main contractor, Pollard, was attended by guests from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), Plymouth City Council and local Councillors.

Bill Badham, Managing Director of Pollard, and Emma Faraday of Mount Wise (Devon) Ltd performed the ‘topping out’. Fixing the last glazing panel into place on the top floor thereby making the building watertight.
