Martin Ayliffe latest addition to RICS South West Regional Board

Director Martin Ayliffe, based in the WWA Truro office, has been invited to join the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), South West Regional Board.

The RICS South West region is part of the national association of England and stretches from The Isles of Scilly to Gloucester, encompassing local groups such as Cornwall, Bristol and Plymouth.

The South West Regional Board works to raise the profile of the profession, which includes quantity surveyors, project managers, building surveyors and general practice surveyors. They also seek to make the area an attractive destination for surveying graduates.

Martin Ayliffe, commented “I am delighted to be joining the RICS South West Regional Board and look forward to the challenges it will bring”.

“As Devon and Cornwall’s largest professional construction consultancy it is important for us to have a presence in regional organisations, such as RICS, to ensure that we contribute to wider industry discussions from a local perspective”.

“With the well-publicised skills shortages, particularly in the South West, it is also essential that organisations promote the benefits that working in the industry brings, in terms of job satisfaction and variety, career progression and training and development”.
