Masie Becomes a World Champion

Further to our post in May 2017 we are delighted to report that Masie Emmerson, sponsored by WWA, has become a World Champion after competing in the ISKA European World Championships.

The event attracted teams from 22 countries across the world and was held at a five-star luxury hotel in Athens. Masie came first in the Korean Gi category, beating her other competitors to the gold medal.

Masie Emmerson said:

“Standing on that podium, gold medal around my neck and an England flag across my shoulders, was one of the best feelings I have ever experienced “.

“I want to say thank you to everyone who supported me. Everyone who sent me well wishes, good luck messages and positive vibes throughout my journey and on the day of competition. Thank you so much. Without your support, I’m not sure I could’ve done it”.

“Thank you to my sponsor, Ward William Associates for their support and helping to make this trip possible”.

DAVID CARKEEK, LONDON OFFICE PARTNER, SAID:

“This is a fantastic result for Masie. From all at WWA we would like to congratulate her on her success”.

Masie will also be competing at the World Martial Arts Games Committee (WMAGC) World Championship event later this year.
