Mount Wise Wins at the Michelmores Property Awards

The Mount Wise development in Devonport, Plymouth has been named ‘Residential Project of the Year (36 units and over)’ at the Michelmores Property Awards 2018.

The awards, which are in their 16th year, celebrate construction projects across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset and Bristol. Organised by the Michelmores Real Estate team, the awards highlight outstanding schemes within a range of sectors from commercial developments through to education buildings.  The awards ceremony took place at the University of Exeter campus and was hosted by local comedian, Josh Widdicombe.

Mount Wise is an exceptional regeneration project in the centre of Plymouth, formerly a fortified MoD estate closed to the public, it is now a thriving new community. 250 high-quality homes have been delivered with a further 59 in the new Leeward House.

Leeward House is a contemporary apartment building, comprising 59 one, two and three-bedroom apartments over six floors, with stunning views over the River Tamar, Plymouth Sound, Plymouth and Dartmoor.

The development surrounds a cricket pitch where a new pavilion and community building has been built.  There is a café on the site and retail space together with several business tenants occupying office suites in the Grade II Listed Mount Wise House.  Admiralty House (Grade II Listed), formerly the home of the Admiral of the Port, now has planning for conversion into 12 bespoke apartments.
