Andy Snapes, WWA’s Managing Director said:

“It is a fantastic achievement for the Pendennis Shipyard project to have been honoured in this way. These awards are highly significant for the UK construction industry and to achieve the two awards in the same week reflects brilliantly on Cornwall and we are very proud to have been part of the team that delivered for Pendennis”.

“The project has now been recognised regionally and nationally as exemplar which couldn’t have happened without an outstanding project team, our contractors Midas Construction and Raymond Brown Construction and the very considerable support that we received from Cornwall Council, Cornwall Development Company and the European Regional Development Fund.”

Pendennis Shipyard’s Managing Director, Mike Carr, said:

“Since its completion in 2015 the wet basin has hosted over 20 yachts, and vastly improved our efficiency in de-storing and recommissioning periods for vessels undergoing refit in Falmouth. Recognition in these awards is testament to the hard work and innovation of all parties involved in the project.”
