HRAS Training Centre, Torpoint

WWA was appointed by Rolls Royce Marine to delivery Project Management and Quantity Surveying services for the creation of the land based Heavy Replenishment at Sea (HRAS) training facilities for naval resources throughout the world.

WWA were responsible for the coordination of the design and construction teams, including off-site fabrication of highly specialised engineering plant and training equipment, and on-site installation, commissioning and handover.

The project was undertaken within an operational site, under strict restrictions and security measures.

HRAS achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and was awarded ‘Infrastructure Project of the Year’ at the RICS South West Awards 2014.
