The Longford Park Primary Academy will be a brand new, state of the art academy based in Longford in Gloucester.

The academy and nursery is run by the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA), a local multi-academy trust encompassing; Bishops Cleeve Primary Academy, Rowanfield Junior School and Springbank Primary.

EG Carter has been appointed by developers Robert Hitchins to construct the new 1FE nursery and primary school, which comprises eight classrooms alongside the nursery provision. A multi-purpose hall and flexible outdoor space, including habitat areas and sports pitches, are also key components of the design.

WWA are providing Project Management, Employers Agent and Quantity Surveying services. The scheme has been designed by local architects, Quattro Design Architects and is based on a model previously used at both Waterwells and Kingsway in Gloucester.

The construction will be completed before the start of the school year in September 2017, accommodating up to 210 school places.
