Rachel Hosts WiP Tour of the New Somerset Pavilion

Associate Director, Rachel Price, hosted the Women in Property Tour of the new Somerset Pavilion at the Somerset County Cricket Ground in Taunton.

The event provided attendees with an opportunity to see the ongoing construction and enjoy afternoon tea. It also offered the group an opportunity to meet other professionals from across the industry and make business contacts.

The Women in Property (WiP) organisation has gone from strength to strength in recent months, with regular events held in Bristol and Gloucester, as well as an increasing number of new events in Devon and Cornwall.

Rachel Price, WiP (Devon & Cornwall) Committee Member organised the event and is currently providing project management services on the new Somerset Pavilion project at Somerset County Cricket Club.

Rachel commented: “Women in Property is growing rapidly in the South West, with events increasingly well attended by a range of property and construction professionals, from architects to property litigators, and surveyors to engineers, the tour of the Somerset Pavilion even attracted two visitors from Germany!”

“I have been project managing the new development for the County Ground from the very beginning. The facilities, which will include a dedicated media centre, covered seating, café / bistro, corporate boxes and conference rooms, will provide fabulous new facilities for visitors and spectators, whilst enabling the Club to meet the technical specifications for International Cricket”.

“This event offers a preview of the new development, which is due for completion in the autumn. The Somerset Pavilion will provide the Club, Members and Visitors with a fantastic facility from which to watch International and Domestic Cricket. From a personal perspective, it has been fantastic to manage the project from inception to completion, and to see the extremely positive impact that it has had upon the County Ground. It has also ensured a full understanding of Cricket!”.
