Seaton Jurassic Visitor Centre Opens

The new £4m Seaton Jurassic Visitor Centre opened its doors to the public for the first time over the Easter Weekend.

The new facilities, hope to attract thousands of visitors each year to explore the visitor centre and museum. It takes people on a unique journey back in time to experience the story of evolution, wildlife and geology over the last 250 million years.

It also raises awareness of Seaton’s unique location on the Jurassic Coast. The only place with examples of Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous eras.

The new development has also incorporated the Tourist Information Centre, new café facilities, shop and wildlife garden.

Seaton Jurassic is expected to act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the town. Boosting the local economy for Seaton and East Devon.
