WWA Run Eden Half Marathon

Senior Associate Directors Paul Treweek and Phil Crossley ran the Eden Half Marathon to support Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust (CSBT), who are raising funds for educational monitoring equipment.

The Eden Half Marathon course has been created to showcase the Eden Project and Cornwall’s beautiful landscape, offering runners a unique sporting location, whilst bringing economic growth to the county.

WWA are part of the project team delivering in CSBT’s ‘Green Build Hub’ project alongside PBWC, Gilbert & Goode and Hoare Lea, all of whom took part. The team came together not only to raise money for sustainability education, but also to enhance team working and collaboration on the project.

The Green Build Hub will provide a ‘living laboratory’ and training centre, where eco-building products will be installed, tested and monitored. The building itself will also have green credentials targeting a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating by using sustainable materials and technology.

Phil Crossley said “We felt that this was a great opportunity to get involved in a team building activity that was a bit different and I believe this shared experience will help improve collaboration and communication between all parties involved in the project. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, despite sore legs the next day”.
