WWA was appointed to undertake Quantity Surveying and CDM Principal Designer services for the demolition and re-development of the existing Spa and Pool complex at the Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall.

The Watergate Bay Hotel swim club features a 25-metre ocean view infinity pool, cafe-bar, cardio room, a studio for classes, three treatment rooms, plus a manicure and pedicure room overlooking the bay.

Outside there is a new entrance, poolside terraces with a Canadian hot tub, a classic timber boardwalk that leads to the beach, surfboard storage and a changing & wet-suit drying room. Flanked on two sides by glass, it is an extension of the Atlantic, only warmer.

Bi-folding doors along one length of the pool can be opened on sunny days making it feel just like an outdoor pool. Thanks to its ultra violet filtration system and cutting edge environmental technology, the pool contains substantially lower levels of chlorine.
