Dobbies Garden Centre, located at Junction 9 of the M5 motorway, has seen the construction of a 70,000ft2 Garden Centre with an outdoor sales area, service yard, 500-space car park and coach bay parking area.

WWA provided Quantity Surveying, Employer’s Agent and Project Management services for the project that was split into two contracts. The first is for the garden centre enabling works and infrastructure including site works, landscaping and car and coach parking, and the second is for the construction of the garden centre building, service yard, outdoor sales and shop front area.

WWA promoted a collaborative way of working encouraging open communication between all parties to ensure a coordinated approach to the delivery of both parts of the project. Local contractors were appointed to work on the project, generating income and employment opportunities for the surrounding communities.
