WWA recently attended the BREEAM Awards 2017

The awards highlight international clients and projects who excel in creating truly sustainable buildings.

Shortlisted projects were identified as those with the highest score within different categories, including: education and healthcare, industrial, mixed-use, retail, offices and residential.

The Green Build Hub, where WWA provided Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Building Surveying, Principal Designer and BREEAM Assessor services, was shortlisted within the Industrial category. The score reflected it’s achievement in obtaining BREEAM ‘Outstanding’, with an overall score of 89.1%.

The Green Build Hub was the brainchild of the Cornwall Sustainable Buildings Trust and aims to demonstrate the value and deliverability of sustainable construction in Cornwall. Although the project was not the eventual winner at the awards evening in London, the judges described it ‘as a real gem’.
