Progress on the Striking Melville Building at Royal William Yard

Our Project Management & Quantity Surveying teams in Plymouth have been working on the restoration of the Melville Building, the striking centrepiece of the historic Royal William Yard. This incredible project has involved extensive repair and renovation of the nearly 200-year-old, Grade 1 listed building to return it back to its former glory. Melville will become home to the Everyman Cinema, various restaurants and multiple office spaces, offering fantastic new opportunities for the businesses and people of Plymouth.

With the project progressing well on site, Tudor Evans (Plymouth City Council Lead), Matt Ward (Head of Strategic Development Projects at PCC) and Anthony Payne (Strategic Director for Place at PCC) were given a guided tour of the building by Jackie Gillespie (Director at Gillespie Yunnie Architects ) and Josh Heath (Project Manager at WWA) to see how the works are progressing.

We look forward to seeing the project progress over the coming months and are excited to see the positive impact Melville will have on Royal William Yard and the wider Plymouth community.
