Ward Williams Associates is heading to Manchester!

Ward Williams Associates is heading north! Despite the unprecedented challenges 2020 has posed for many in construction, WWA is excited to share that we are opening a new office in Manchester, with new Partner Martin Bennett at the helm.

WWA has been discussing the move north for several years. Manchester and the North West has recently seen significant development with some of the fastest growth outside of London for any major UK city. We have already been successfully delivering several projects in the region, and once introduced to Martin we knew the opportunity to progress and further develop our presence in Manchester had arrived.

Martin shares the same core philosophy and character that has made WWA such a success in the South. We couldn’t turn down the prospect to work with him and further develop our client base in the north. Martin has vast experience in both construction and Manchester, having studied at the University of Salford from 1988-1992 he has spent his whole career in the Greater Manchester area. He is proud to have been part of the phenomenal growth and regeneration of the City in recent years. Since starting his career, he has delivered some incredible projects including for Manchester Hospital, the Commonwealth Games, the University of Manchester, Media City (Coronation Street) and Salford Rugby Stadium. In addition, he has worked on a broad mix of commercial and residential developments including 376 apartments at Gore Street, Salford.

Martin stated, “It is both an honour and a privilege to take the role of office Partner in Manchester as Ward Williams Associates take their company ethos and excellent service delivery to the North West. It is a difficult economic situation at present with many challenges but times like these also present opportunities for new ways of working and a collaborative team approach to enable a successful outcome for the client’s involved”.

Andy Snapes, WWA Senior Partner says “Many of our clients with projects in the North West have been keen for us to establish an office in Manchester for some time. When we met Martin, we knew he was the right person to lead a Manchester-based team and the time is now. WWA is really excited about being part of the ongoing success story for Manchester and the North”.

The new WWA Manchester Office will be based in Beehive Mill, one of the City’s oldest surviving cotton mills. We look forward to catching up with you there soon!
